Jim’s leadership style is molded by more than 20 years of working with and helping grow remarkable teams. With a career in technology, he brings a clear understanding of how to leverage technology platforms to solve problems and improve operations on behalf of customers. Jim was appointed CEO by Avitru’s financial sponsor, Alpine Investors, where he was a CEO in Residence. Prior to Alpine, he spent seven years at commerce technology leader First Data Corporation in a series of general management and go-to-market leadership roles. He started his career as a sales rep at IBM and later moved to senior roles at i2 Technologies and SAP. Jim earned his BS in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University and his MBA from Southern Methodist University. He exercises his passion for motorsports and competition as gentleman sports car racer.
