Joe has over 40 years of industry experience, 30 of which as a licensed professional Architect. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Nebraska. Having written more than 600 specifications, Joe is a frequent presenter at national conferences for the AIA and CSI, and has published many technical articles in professional journals. He has worked as the firm specification writer for both Clark Enersen Partners and Bahr, and founded the independent specifications firm Great Plains Specifications. Joe is an active member of the Advisory Group for the AIA Building Performance Knowledge Community. Joe enjoys reading and writing science fiction and hopes to one day publish his own novel. It is then of no surprise that his favorite architectural building is Villa Savoye, with its highly influential modernist design.
