Rick is a registered architect and Certified Construction Specifier with over 40 years of experience writing architectural and engineering specifications using MasterSpec for an incredibly broad range of domestic and international construction projects. He received a degree in architecture from The Ohio State University and has worked for design firms in Dallas, DC, and Ohio, and as an independent specifications consultant. He is a Fellow of the Construction Specifications Institute and has served on the MasterSpec Architectural Review Committee and CSI’s Certification Committee. He has had the opportunity to contribute specifications for collaborations on high-profile projects designed by numerous renowned architects. His favorite being Spaceport America by Foster + Partners. In his free time, Rick enjoys singing acapella harmony (tenor) with his quartet and the Singing Buckeyes Chorus.
