Joe has over 40 years of industry experience, 30 of which as a licensed professional Architect. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Nebraska. Having written more than 600 specifications, Joe is a frequent presenter at national conferences for the AIA and CSI, and has published many technical articles in professional journals. He has worked as the firm specification writer for both Clark Enersen Partners and Bahr, and founded the independent specifications firm Great Plains Specifications. Joe is an active member of the Advisory Group for the AIA Building Performance Knowledge Community.
Joe enjoys reading and writing science fiction and hopes to one day publish his own novel. It is then of no surprise that his favorite architectural building is Villa Savoye, with its highly influential modernist design.
Tanya Coachman has managed editorial production for over 10 years, 7 of which in the architectural and engineering space. She has worked for award-winning publications, including a magazine that won a Neal Award for an investigative series examining the impact of demography on the housing industry. Tanya is an expert in the editorial process from start to finish, including developing editorial calendars, guidelines, and budgets; recruiting and training editorial staff and freelancers; tracking and enforcing deadlines; and working closely with writers and production staff to complete the production process. When Tanya is not chasing down specifications, you might find her in front of the watercooler practicing the eight-count for her favorite style of partner dance called Chicago Stepping.

Kristi has nearly 20 years of experience in architecture, working on a variety of project types across North America, from small, complicated renovation work to multimillion-dollar new construction for residential, corporate, healthcare, historic preservation, retail, and educational building projects. Her experience as a project architect, project manager, and construction administrator brings an additional element of expertise to her specification writing. Kristi has had professional articles published in the Construction Specifier Express.
Kristi’s favorite building is La Sagrada Familia Basilica in Barcelona. In line with her experience in historic preservation work, Kristi loves historic buildings for their level of detail and the stories they hold. She enjoys spending time with her three young children and outdoor activities such as wakeboarding, snowboarding, hockey, and golf.
Gill brings more than 35 years of experience as an architect. For 17 of those years, he led a team of specification writers to complete hundreds of projects for clients all over the world. Gill founded InterSpec and was InterSpec's CTO for 18 years, then president and CEO for two years. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in Architecture with a concentration in Computer Aided Design and Artificial Intelligence from California Polytechnic State University. An avid artist, he has a large collection of oil and watercolor paintings he has painted and has recently been pursuing a style he calls "micro-abstraction." Gill's favorite piece of architecture is the Phillips Exeter Academy Library.

After concluding his search for the finest barbeque sauce, Ron is in constant search of the ultimate dark chocolate on his days off. Perhaps he will find it near his favorite architectural building, The National Assembly Building in Bangladesh.
